Hi Alex,

I have to congratulate you for organising a flawless trip to Sri Lanka. What was so amazing was the quality of the accommodation, the food, and so cheap.

Highlights of the trip – the Safari, seeing wild elephants in the wild was a thrill, also the crocodiles, water buffaloes, mongoose, monkeys etc. Also our stay in Colombo at the Galle Face Hotel and the accommodation in Galle at the Aditya hotel – both were fantastic.

We did spend many hours touring in the Scope Bus (the driver was superb) seeing the countryside and Ben filled us in with lots of info – a good man.

It was a great experience, on the coast and at Ella, Heavens Edge…….

All went well thank-you. We enjoyed the tours, sights and Bollywood Show. Your agents in Delhi/Agra were attentive. Had the one driver in Delhi  who was very good. Sri Lankan Airlines was OK on the Australian legs but the Delhi legs were ordinary.

All in all a satisfying experience.

So sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, we have been super busy!!!!

We had such a wonderful time.

Mahi was beyond amazing, we felt very safe with him and his knowledge was wonderful. We truly enjoyed his company and he has a very infectious smile and personality. The trip would not have been the same without him.

I especially would recommend him if you every have any single female travellers as I feel I would have felt incredibly safe with him on my own, he was so professional.

Sri Lanka was amazing, thank you for all the added extras also.

Negombo- jetwing blue was ridiculous, so nice, I could have stayed there for a couple more nights.

Colombo, you are correct as advised there was not too much to do in Colombo but we still had a wonderful time and so glad we went to st josephs and the museum was brilliant, it was nice to understand the history so well and we also had Mahi educating us the whole way round, We also visited an amazing temple there. The kingsbury is lovely!

Ministry of crab was so good we ended up cancelling kaema sutra and returning to ministry at the end of our trip. Very Yummy.

Kandy- Ozo was nice, staff were lovely and food was great. Really enjoyed the cultural show despite having to climb over a landslide to get there lol. Mahi was there looking after us the whole time. The temple of the tooth was brilliant also.

Nuwara Eliya- Loved the tea plantations, the scenery is stunning and really liked the grand hotel (sadly it was a “dry” day due to religious celebrations but we still had the best time, but would have been an awesome place to sit with a wine and listen to the pianist) Food here was also lovely.

Ella- very cool, very touristy, we enjoyed climbing little adams peak and we loved ella chill……

YALA!!!- wowsers, we could have spent a few days at jetwing yala- amazing, I loved it, food was great, rooms were out of this world and I love nature so having wild animals just roaming about was perfect. We did do a safari- sadly most of the animals didn’t want to come out to see us, but our driver was lovely and decided we would go for a ride outside of the park to find elephants instead (elephants are my favourite) and we did! Dowa rock temple is a must see and we loved it!

Unawatuna- really loved this little spot, thaproban pavilions was amazing and a perfect spot for a few nights. We chilled a lot here but did see the tsunami museum (very important for people to see this), a turtle hatchery and on the way to hikkaduwa we visited a moonstone mine and Galle

Galle was really lovely and would have loved to have had time to spend a night or 2 here, we returned from hikkaduwa for dinner one night because it was so nice.

Hikkaduwa- we had an issue with our room at Hikka tranz but to be fair they upgraded us straight away and we ended up in a lovely suite. It was nice round here, probably a more chilled version of unawatuna, we saw wild turtles which made me very happy.

The country is amazing, lonely planet cant even do it justice………..

Hi Alex,

Apologies for our late reply! We arrived back in Melbourne last Tuesday. Both myself and Ashton loved the Sri Lanka tour you planned for us and my parents. The political situation did not affect us at all and Tyrone was an amazing tour guide and driver.

We had our rooms upgraded at almost every hotel which was a pleasant surprise and for the Jetwing hotels, the hotel managers were all expecting our arrival as you had emailed them letting them know this, so thank you very much for that!

The Jetwing Yala and Heritance Kandalama hotels were probably the two standouts for us although all hotels were truly outstanding. It was such a stress free holiday with almost everything pre-organised and both yourself and Tyrone having a solid plan for each day.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone I know, it was perfect! Thanks so much for all your work organising everything, we certainly could not have planned something like this ourselves, we really appreciate it.

Back to reality now! We had an amazing holiday. We absolutely loved Sri Lanka.

Anthony was amazing and I would highly recommend. He was super knowledgeable and was able to point us in the right direction of any additional things we did. Perhaps his best suggestion was the local college students artwork so I could buy an elephant painting for my new house. Everything with the hotels was fantastic. Our favourite was either Jetwing Yala or Amaara Forest as the service, location, food and cocktails were amazing……….

The flights went well. There were no problems there so thank you very much for organising.

Hope you are doing well.  We all arrived well and safe last Monday early morning.

The flight from KL to Toronto took us almost 36 hours with the transits in Colombo and Dubai.

Only now we are fully recovered and back to normal.

We had a fantastic time in Sri Lanka, Kids loved it.  The food, hospitality, the hotels and of course the amazing natural beauty of mother Lanka.

I can’t thank you enough for planning us a such a wonderful trip, it was really above and beyond our expectations.  You went all the way out to make sure we were well looked after.

Your advice on the itinerary was also great – even though we visited a lot of places we didn’t feel rushed and still had time to relax and enjoy our surroundings.

Our trip was awesome! Sri Lanka has changed a fair bit since I was last there, some for the better and some not.

Anthony was fantastic and we loved our time with him!  He’s a very agreeable person.  He was always on time, was polite, and very funny!  He tells terrible jokes and we loved it!  Would highly recommend him.

Beds were comfy in all hotels which is a real plus when on the move all the time.  Ulagulla was an absolute standout for us. We loved the hotel and the setting. The staff were amazing and we wish we could have spent more time there.  The hotel in Jaffna was comfortable, as was Trinco.  Really enjoyed the difference in Jaffna and same in Trinco………………………..

………… Train trip to Ella was a great experience………….. 98 Acres was also a lovely hotel.

The hotel in Galle was lovely. Good spot and the ability to use facilities at Jetwing Lighthouse was really good…………

The trip was very enjoyable.  Hotels in India were very good, particularly at Shimla and Jaipur.  Drivers and guides were also good and we were always met, with one minor glitch when we arrived at Amritsa.  In India there seemed to be a bewildering  array of people dealing with us – drivers, guides and company representatives  – and we certainly felt supported.  Itinerary was good with a variety of places and experiences.  Particularly liked the flag lowering ceremony on the Pakistan border at Amritsar  – a unique experience.

Nepal was the main reason for our trip and the trekking was definitely the highlight.  The guide we had was very friendly and knowledgeable, the accommodation and food was much better than we expected and the scenery was fabulous…………The trek was fantastic.

So, overall very happy customers.

…………….. we have all had the holiday of a lifetime. All the hotels have been fantastic and we have been greeted by the manager and made feel very welcome and treated like special guests.

All the tours have been amazing and I will send you the video of the elephants that crossed the road near us.

Thank you for your welcoming words. And thank you for the lovely surprise dinner at Amaara Forest!

All your tour arrangements went like clockwork. The flights were on-time, and the seating, as requested, had us all together.

The first driver and assistant who drove us up to Jaffna were very accommodating of our various requests to drive around visiting up north.

We really enjoyed having Vijendra as our guide for the next part of the tour. He was able to build full daily itineraries based on our feedback that let us see and do as much as possible. It was great having him to attend to all the details right up to checking us in at the end of each day. He was knowledgeable about all the sights and we never once caught him out with all our random questions.

The driver (Palitha) and assistant for our last leg down to Galle were also very helpful in proactively suggesting things to do and see around the south.

………………All in all, we had a great time in Sri Lanka: catching up with relatives, seeing places we’d been waiting a long time for, and showing the country to our children.

……………. Everything was FANTASTIC!

…………….Two hotels, that need mentioning for their splendid service and surroundings, were:

The Hotel in Jaipur, Suyra Villa – Being newly renovated and beautiful colonial style clean rooms, (with free wifi)

The hotel in Orchha, (Amar Mahal) You really need 2 days there to appreciate the surroundings and atmosphere.

Both hotels were amazing, the buildings, the charm, everything.

Everything else, went exactly as planned. The wheelchairs, the late check out at the Ibis on Bencoolen, (I thought was 4pm, turns out was 6pm) and the transfer bus picked us up at 6.10pm. The Hotel was clean, breakfast selection was excellent, staff exceptional and the location ideal.

Of all the trips we’ve done, I think India has won hands down.

The tour guides were excellent, most spoke English very well, and no complaints.

The bus driver we had was phenomenal, as we only had a tour guide in each city and only during daylight hours, our driver was able to refer us to many local restaurants and the like, which we would never have known about.

Was a sensational trip

Hi Alex,

Just a quick note to thank you for your work on our trip. We had a great time.

The accommodation was comfortable and friendly, the food fantastic. I am missing curry and rice and going through withdrawal. Our driver, Sudharman, or Silva to us, really went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything and more. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the national parks we visited, particularly the bird life which really added to our appreciation of what we were seeing. He also knew the complex history which he would tell us about as we visited the historic sites. The weather was also great despite fears of monsoonal conditions.

Cinnamon Red was a lovely spot to end our trip extremely comfortable and well located.

Thanks again Alex I will recommend you to anyone who wishes to have a similar trip.
